Jim Ross & Ashley Talk WrestleMania, WWE's HD Problems, WWE/Mardi Gras

The Daytona Beach News-Journal has new interviews online with Jim Ross and Ashley Massaro, talking about WWE’s upcoming WrestleMania XXIV pay-per-view. Ross addresses the possibility of Britney Spears working the event among other things. Ashley also speaks out. You can check out both interviews at this link.

- Sky Box Office is sending the following statement to viewers that complained about problems of the Royal Rumble PPV airing, where wrestlers were cut out of the picture (I, watching in the US, also had these problems). Here is the statement: "WWE are aware that there were some problems with Wrestlers being out of frame for international viewers receiving 4:3 pictures, due to them shooting in Widescreen format, and have apologized. It was due to the steep learning curve as they have just introduced the format because of going HD. We were not able to receive Royal Rumble in the Widescreen format, but have managed to find a solution, so all future live Sunday night specials, whether on Sky Box Office or Sky Sports, will be in Widescreen, starting from hopefully "No Way Out" on Sky Sports on 17th February. Wrestlemania on SBO will also be available in HD by the way."

- In the spirit of Mardi Gras in New Orleans, WWE has a new feature on the official website about superstars that have worn face paint as part of their gimmicks. It’s a neat feature in which you can check out by clicking here.

TNA/Bobby Knight, iMPACT Video Game, Criss Angel/TNA, Against All Odds Promotion

In attempt to capitalize off of the mainstream media attention of his recent resignation, TNA Wrestling has posted an article on their official website saying that they have offered former Texas Tech Men’s Basketball coach Bobby Knight a Head Coaching job with the company. Click here to check out the article.

- Karen Angle will take part in a media conference call today to promote this Sunday’s Against All Odds pay-per-view from Greenville, South Carolina. I will be in the call asking questions so look for coverage of it on the site later this afternoon.

- Midway released six new screen shots to the upcoming TNA iMPACT! video game today. The screen shots feature unbelievable quality as Scott Steiner, Abyss, Booker T, and Kurt Angle are the wrestlers featured. Midway has also said that the cover art for the game will be available soon. Click here to check out the photos.

- TNA’s Mobile Alert system sent out an update yesterday reporting that TNA Champion Kurt Angle taped a recent episode of “Mindfreak” with Criss Angel when he was in Las Vegas for Brock Lesnar’s UFC debut fight last weekend. Angel is expected to appear on an upcoming edition of iMPACT.

- James Storm, Eric Young, Traci Brooks, and Crystal Louthan will make an appearance at the White Horse Flea Market in Greenville, South Carolina on Saturday from 1-3 PM to promote Sunday's Against All Odds pay-per-view. The talent will be doing a meet-and-greet autograph session.
